We recently asked our travelers what their favorite location was and we were surprised by the results. Although bucket list locations like Alaska and Hawaii were on the list, there are plenty of hidden gems located in smaller communities. Monument Health—Rapid City, South Dakota

Traveler Davida loved her time in Rapid City. The facility was very traveler-friendly with an awesome staff that wants everyone to succeed. While there, she took full advantage of the local cafes and steakhouse in nearby Deadwood and loved the nearby national parks and historic sites. St. Anthony—Gig Harbor, Washington

Traveler James enjoyed St. Anthony’s in Gig Harbor. The facility had all the resources needed for a smooth travel assignment and the staff was welcoming and made James feel right at home. If you’re in Gig Harbor, take James’ recommendation and grab a bite at Burger Seoul and the local breweries. Just know that housing can be a little tough to find so if you taking a travel healthcare job in Washington, don’t be afraid to ask your recruiter for help.

Swedish Cherry Hill—Seattle, Washington

Swedish Cherry Hill was one facility that two travelers called out for being a great place to work. Both Victoria and Sabrina said that this was their favorite place to be. Sabrina called out the great staff, ratios and beautiful facility, while Victoria mentioned everything Seattle has to offer. Both called out Pink Door for Italian food, so make sure and check that out if you’re in the area, whether you’re working a travel healthcare job in Washington or you’re just visiting.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital—Phoenix, AZ

At the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, traveler Jessica said that the staff was great and truly considered travelers one of their own. They even threw Jessica a going away party before she left! She enjoyed Phoenix, especially the nightlight and dining and RA Sushi in particular. If you’re looking for a healthcare travel job in Arizona, consider Phoenix Children’s.
