Meet Triage Staffing’s Traveling Nurse of the Month, Ali!

We’ve often mentioned that our traveling medical professionals are more than their job titles — they’re like family. Some have been a part of that family since the start, others joined the family later on, but all hold a special place in our hearts. So, just as a good family should, we like to show them off from time to time to give them an opportunity to let their spirit, personality and character shine. This month, we’re taking the opportunity to highlight Alison, a registered nurse who’s equally infatuated with great music and all the genuine pleasures that life has to offer.

We like to ask each traveler of the month to tell us what makes them so special and a great asset to the Triage family. Here’s what Ali had to say:

How long have you been traveling?  

I have had 4 assignments in 4 years, and 1 year at each assignment!

Why Triage?  

I was referred to Triage by another traveler from Triage. This is my 1st company that I have worked for and it is my current company.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I am proud to be a Travel RN, knowing that I can come in and hit the ground running.

How do you spend your days off? 

I like to explore the area, go to museums, local eateries, and hike in the mountains.

What is one food you could never give up? 

French fries, for sure!

What is one thing still on your bucket list?

I would love to experience everything life has to offer! In the short term, I want to go to Nashville, New Orleans, and Austin. They all have  great music scenes!

What talent/skill do you wish you had?  

I wish I could play an instrument.

Who is your celebrity crush?  

My #1 celebrity crush is Jeff Goldblum. 

What is your go-to beverage?  

Coffee and Prosecco wine!

Who is your favorite band/musician?  

TOO MANY, I love music!

Do you have a nickname? How did you get it?

My nickname is, “Downtown.” A girl I worked with at KU started calling me “Downtown Ali Brown.”

If you could give your younger self advice, what would you say?

Don’t worry about what others think, be the best self you can be.

What fortune do you hope comes in your next fortune cookie? 

“You will soon go on a great adventure.”

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?  

I wanted to be a vet, I love animals and grew up with horses next door. I currently have 2 dogs.
